The Smartphone Trends for this Year to Watch Out



Smartphones are evolving in a much faster way, where many people did not expect to have this kind technology inside it. It’s becoming like a super computer now, where almost want you want can be done through the use of smartphone.
Seems that high-end smartphones will be into the virtual reality, 4K home entertainment and PC docking while the low-cost smartphones will have higher resolution display screens, much better graphics and a faster wireless communication capabilities.
Here are the upcoming technology for the year 2016:

Excellent screen displays

Seems that most high-end smartphones today have a resolution of 2560 X 1440, which will result to a vivid and crisp display. A new kind of display is emerging, the OLED display is much improved than Super-AMOLED in which it will provide a more accurate color in the display of a smartphone.

Faster Chipsets

The upcoming smartphones will be faster and more power-efficient chips inside.  There is latest twist in mobile processor called “stacked transistor”, will enable a smartphone manufacturer to pack more feature into a smaller chips. Also, the advancement in chip design will allow the smartphone to preserve more battery life than in the previous years. Other smartphones today have low-power DDR4 memory, which will boost higher application performance through faster internal date transfer.

Hardware improvements and USB Type-C

Samsung’s pocket sized SSD T3, which have a storage capacity of 2 Terabyte inside can be directly plug into any smartphones today. Also, a new type of port for the smartphone called “USB Type-C” is being use by both high-end and low-end smartphones. This new port will now solve the problem of connecting the smartphones to any monitor and any external storage device.

Faster Graphics

Today’s smartphone are becoming anyone’s entertainment. A strong graphics are coming for the smartphones to be use for virtual reality and 4K entertainment. High-end smartphones are equipped with faster Qualcomm and ARM GPU’s while low-end smartphone supports full high-definition video.

Faster wireless and LTE connection

Many upcoming smartphones in Mobile World Congress 2016 to be held in Barcelona, will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that have a LTE modem that can reach a download speed of 600Mbps and an upload speed of 150Mbps.  This means that Maps and movies will load much faster using a LTE connection. The Snapdragon 820 have a technology called “ WiGig” which will make smartphones connect to a monitor and any docks. According to Qualcomm; “WiGig “ is faster than the 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Virtual reality 

Virtual reality seems a futuristic term to be used in the past but not anymore. Smartphones can now be use to roam the world of virtual reality using a Google Cardboard holder or use a Samsung VR headset like Samsung Gear VR. This year, we can now experience it in a much better way with Lenovo and Google Project Tango handset, that will provided the user with rich data on location, surrounding and information that will be laid to screen.
