Today’s Android version is Marshmallow or Android 6.0.1, it
was released by Google in 2015. But with this latest version, many flagship
smartphones of many known brands are still waiting on OTA updates. Android Marshmallow
is still a new OS for many Android-based smartphones, but there is a
speculations that Google are now beginning to work for the next Android version,
the Android N.
According to Stuff.tv, while Google is indeed planning to
release the next Android version, but it will not happen sometime soon. This year’s
Google I/O conference to be held in Mountain View on May 18-20, Google is
planning to have a sneak peek on the next Android version. It Google will do
that, will not see a working version of next Android version, it might still in
a development stage, we could see the working version might in the late 2016 or
on early 2107.
A rumor from Android Headlines, saying that the next Android
version or Android N will be coming to the upcoming flagship smartphone of
Samsung; the Galaxy S7 series. It came from a report of leaked developer
listing that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge point out some features that
smartphone will be deprecated in “N”, the next Android version. In the previous
rumors, Samsung Galaxy S7 series will run the current Android Marshmallow or
Android 6.0.1 as the base OS. It means that Samsung is preparing for the next Android
version.
In the upcoming Google I/O conference they launch the
upgraded version of Android 6.0.1 to Android 6.1, which will be fully released
in June.
