A latest report, came out that Google wants to make their very
own Nexus branded smartphones in the future, instead of letting the other OEM’s
make it for them. This report came from The Information; that Google wants to
become their own designer and manufacture the upcoming Nexus smartphones. They want
that the Nexus smartphones will entirely controlled by them.
As of today, Nexus smartphone is completely ties between the
Android OS team and other OEM smartphone manufacturer. Since the first released
of Nexus smartphone, the manufacturing of the Nexus-branded smartphone was
completely made the other OEM. With likes of Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG and
Huawei, this smartphone manufacturing giants where being use by Google for their
hardware expertise. The latest Nexus smartphone was made Huawei, the Nexus 6P
and Nexus 5X where both high-end smartphones on the market today.
Google wants to follow Apple about controlling everything on
their smartphone, from software to hardware inside in the smartphone. As for
Apple, they design the software and hardware for their flagship smartphones;
the iPhone. This approach of Google make sense.
By doing this, Google could make a smartphone will compete
iPhone or surpass it. Also they could put some new technology in the
smartphones.
Nexus smartphones, are a true Android smartphone, with no
custom UI inside that will make the smartphone slower. It will not have any
bloatware from other OEM manufacturer. Also, it will run with stock Android OS,
will be open for rooting.
If this going to happen, we might see another “revolution”
