Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the iPhone 7 have
consider to be one of the most anticipated smartphone this year. Rumors, leaks
and news are starting to surface about this upcoming smartphone design, specs
and new features. Also, many concept design of iPhone 7 surface the web.
When considering “revolutionary” feature, Apple is consider
to be an inventor on it, there recent feature is the “3D Touch” feature where
the screen of iPhone 6s and 6S Plus, have pressure-sensitive display on it. This
feature seems to be cool but many apps still don’t integrate this.
Recently, a new rumor about a new feature upcoming iPhone 7,
it’s about new unlocking feature, where passcode and fingerprint are just thing
in the past. The new feature will allow iPhone 7 and other upcoming iPhones to
have a security feature, “voice” is required to unlock.
Apple is granted by U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office, a
patent titled “Device Access Using Voice Authentication” last Tuesday, where it
will allow the iPhone owners to access any restricted parts of the iPhone using
their own voice. A voice from the owner of iPhone will be use as a voiceprint,
then compare it and if successfully authenticated, the owner could access the
requested feature without the need for the iPhone to be unlocked. But if
voiceprint comparison is unsuccessful, the other method accessing the iPhone through
a passcode or a fingerprint scan.
Apple is proposing
that in getting voiceprint directly on the iPhone owners or via remote servers
with similarity in how the Siri voice feature works on the iPhone 6S and 6S
Plus.
Prior to this patent, Apple also was being granted with a
patent regarding on “controlling the iPhone with the use of hovering hand”,
last February 2016.
