Report: Other Nexus, codenamed "Marlin" specs leaked out


A leaked last week, showing the specs on one of the Nexus smartphones, where it will be manufacture by HTC. It has codename “Sailfish”, which will the successor of last year’s LG Nexus 5X.

This day, another leaked had been release, where it will be about the other Nexus smartphone by the same source. The other Nexus smartphone will be bigger, which it will sport a 5.5 inch display and it the codename for this upcoming smartphone is “Marlin”.

For the specs of this upcoming Nexus smartphone, it will have an either the Snapdragon 820, which is currently being used by other high end smartphone or the latest Snapdragon 821/823. A 4GB of RAM together with 32GB or 128GB of internal storage.

A QHD Super AMOLED display on it, for the camera it will have an 8-megapixel front facing and 12-megapixel on the rear. A battery of 3,450 mAh. Other features, includes fingerprint scanner at the rear, Bluetooth 4.2, USB type-C port and a Bottom-firing speakers. It will be running the upcoming Android Nougat, same with “Sailfish”.

The “Marlin” are very interesting in regards in internal memory, because it will only have two options on it, the 32GB or 128 GB memory, which 64GB version will not be available.

The difference between the “Sailfish” and “Marlin” will be screen size and battery capacity. This means that, it will have same capabilities but different in prices, where last year’s Nexus smartphone feels to have a mid-range and premium ones. As to the same capabilities, the upcoming smaller Nexus might be a little expensive than the last year’s 5X.
