Apple is been busy in couple days, because of those bug that
surface out in the iOS. The first problem was “Error 53” which according to
them is just a security protocol, when the iPhone are being repaired by
third-party or non-certified Apple service. And second bug, the “January 1,
1970” bug, according to them is just a social media prank, but when the date is
set correctly, the iPhone will reboot and Hang as it will result to bricking.
Apple, immediately issue a statement about this problem to fix this.
The Fix is today, Apple had just released a special version
of iOS 9.2.1, which is being design to prevent the “Error 53”, when iPhones are
being repaired by third-party service that uses a components that are Apple
certified.
Please refer here about "Error 53".
Today’s update will restore those iPhones and iPads that are
bricked, because of the “Error 53” to full working condition and also it will
ensure any iOS device to have same problem when being repaired by third-party
service. But, in regards in Touch ID, it will be disable until Apple-authorized

device owners a headache.
"Some customers' devices are showing 'Connect to
iTunes' after attempting an iOS update or a restore from iTunes on a Mac or PC.
This reports as an Error 53 in iTunes and appears when a device fails a
security test. This test was designed to check whether Touch ID works properly
before the device leaves the factory.
Today, Apple released a software update that allows customers who have encountered this error message to successfully restore their device using iTunes on a Mac or PC.
We apologize for any inconvenience, this was designed to be a factory test and was not intended to affect customers. Customers who paid for an out-of-warranty replacement of their device based on this issue should contact AppleCare about a reimbursement."
