Consider to be the biggest operating system in the mobile
industry, Google has yet to plan their next release of next version of the
Android. The latest Android 6.0.1 or Marshmallow not yet fully integrated in to
the most smartphones today. Google’s next big event the “I/O”, where they going
to launch some of the features of the upgraded version of Android Marshmallow. Also,
at Google I/O, the developer of Android N will have preview about the next
Android version, and full release of upcoming Android N is expected to be this
coming October.

Android N release date
On May 18, Android N will be preview at Google I/O 2016, but
the full release of this next version of Android will on October or early
November 2016 together with next-gen Nexus. With this release, Android N will
limited only to the Nexus device and then make it to the other smartphone
manufacturers and network carriers over the next 6 months and so.
Improved Tablet Support
According to Glenn Murphy, a Pixel C team member, tells that
we’re working hard on a range of enhancements for this form factor”. These
upcoming Android N will be featuring a more functional multi-tasking, a push
for tablet-optimized apps, a customizable navigation buttons, stock floating
mini-apps, DPI switcher and tablet-specific System UI Tuner features in it.
Moving Java API’s to Open JDK
Google will officially be making switch to Open JDI in the
upcoming Android N, following the sticky situation with Oracle about “rewriting”
Java API. “We plan to move Android’s Java
language libraries to an Open JDK-based approach, creating a common code base
for developers to build apps and services”, Google confirms. This significant change
will make the upcoming Android N become simpler and changes will be negligible.
